White iPhone Delayed, Now Hotter Than Ever

Undoubtedly the iPhone is the trendiest mobile phone ever produced. Dedicated Applephiles famously lined up overnight to get the newest iteration from Steve Jobs’ design mavens. The iPhone’s combination of brilliant but clean design and extensive apps library has deservedly earned it a spot in the mobile phone Hall of Fame (if there is such a one). Techies and the general population alike have embraced the iconic unit to the tune of around 40 million units sold worldwide.

But it only came in black (just like the Model T). You can understand the hubbub that ensued when the new iPhone was announced to be available in white. As they say, the crowd went wild. Okay, if you can picture that, picture what happened when Apple recently announced that the white iPhone would be delayed until later this year (after an initial promised launch in July). Reasons for the delay haven’t been announced, and speculation has run the gamut. The bottom line: The white iPhone will now be hotter than ever.

The iPhone development highlights one of the many differences between consumer phones and business phones. It’s the reason we chose to use Mitel phones in our business communications platforms. Mitel’s vast experience and expertise in the business segment helps to ensure that new technology vital to your business isn’t hung up on launch—even if it is now available “in white.”
