Voice Processing Unit
Mills Communications Voice Processing Unit provides messaging tools such as an automated attendant, call routing announcements, robust voice mail, various call handling functions and unified messaging capabilities. The automated attendant is like a “virtual employee” routing your customers and clients to the department, person or information they need—24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. The call routing announcement application can be used in place of a playback device, which is especially useful for hunt group announcements and overflow stations. When called, the call routing announcement application plays a recording and then hangs up. Callers can also press a single digit for access to a mailbox, a Fax-On-Demand function, or a station or hunt group that has an associated mailbox or extension ID. The powerful voice mail application handles calls by subscribers and non-subscribers. Callers hear the main greeting, followed by a menu of available options. And, for holidays and weekends, your business can use the Sheduled Time-Based Application Router (STAR) function for simplified programming of alternate greetings. This browser-based monitoring and historical reporting product is designed for the general business environment. It provides the ability to monitor employee telephone usage in real-time as well as report on extensions, departments, and trunks.Using real-time extension activity and historical reporting, TASKE Essential gives business managers and department supervisors the information they require to deal with changing business conditions. The versatility of TASKE Essential allows managers to view telephone usage by individual employees or rolled up by department. Browser-based administration allows this information to be accessed from any internet enabled computer. Managers on-the-go benefit from the flexibility and portability this provides to access, view, print or email reports from the office, home or while traveling. There are four key areas that provide management information:

1. Real-Time
Reduce the number of calls being transferred to busy extensions or voicemail. The real-time extension view provides receptionists or other users with information to ensure calls are forwarded to an extension where someone is available to answer them.A manager can see whether an extension is idle, or being used for an inbound or outbound call. They can see the duration of the call and the number dialed, or the number of the calling party. The state colors and layout of the extensions can be defined by the user. This information presents a clear overall picture of phone events and usage.

2. Review
The review window provides an up-to-the-minute summary of all call activity since the start of the business day.The performance of employees, departments or activity from a particular extension can be easily be monitored.

3. Reports Area
Managers can quickly identify extensions that are being used inappropriately for long distance or premium rate calls. They can use trunk reports to determine if they have enough, or too many phone lines for the size of their business.

4. Call Visualizer
Using user-selected filter criteria, the Call Visualizer feature drills down through the day's calls to reveal the events of a specific call, such as the amount of time on hold or the numbers of times a caller was transferred. This information allows managers to review call handling techniques and improve the customer experience.
